I enjoyed the document showed to me. It showed me the appreciation and dedication some people have for the art. The sculpture of ice he made looked nice during the horizons.

I really enjoyed the movie. I haven't watched a documentary about nature before. I think it is pretty cool to build eggs out of rocks. he has a weird thinking about the ocean. He thinks the ocean took the egg. It was a good movie even though i usually dont like watching documentary's.  This movie is very daydreaming and it is very relaxing movie to watch.

My thoughs about the review is that the author talks about an artist name Andy Goldsworthy, who creates art from natural thing like rocks or anything that does not involve material that were made in factories. The author talks about Andy Goldsworthy work and how it is beautiful and the author tells the review like if there was no one there and there is a piece or art that could had been made by an animal but not by a human. The author also tells in the review that since coming to theater just kept on going and going and tells about his art and how he tries to rebuild things that could have been destory by the waves or by natural reasons like rain or the wind moving the piece. Andy Goldsworthy uses rocks to make an important shape like an egg and builds it next to a lake or river that rises thrioughout the week and you do not see it becasue the water overflows the shape , but the shape stays there but the water carries the shape away. If I have the chance to see this movie I will because the way that he uses the material to his help and uses

my comment about the review was that he talks about the movie we watched called tides and rivers which is about an artist named andy goldsworth one of the unique and skillful things about andy goldsworth is that unlike other artists he does not use palettes, paintbrushes, etc. he uses natural things like rocks, twigs,and ice roger ebert says that his sculptures look like as if a magical creature or being left them behind truly all of his works are magnificent and beautiful andy says that when his work is washed away into the sea he doesnt feel like it is destruction but more that it is being carried away into another world I really like his work

Well when we first stated watching Andy Goldsworthy’s River and Tides, at first I didn’t get anything and I thought that he was being stupid by creating things and destroying them later on. But yet at some point I did felt that he was really artistic as the things he creates with nature were simply fantabulous & beautiful. Almost all of his constructions were magical beauty. The best part of the movie that I liked was when he explains why he creates things with nature, takes pictures of them and later makes it get destroy by nature. He clearly clarifies that he makes art out of nature as a gift for nature and when it gets destroyed by it, signifies that nature accepted his appreciation. He even added that when he built something, he often likes it to the very edge of its collapse, and the feeling of its beautiful balance. I really liked the art that Andy Goldsworthy creates even when it gets destroyed; it still gives me the feeling of it being realistic and the beauty of nature.

I think this person andy goldsworthy is a very important man because he cares about art very much. some of this stuff about art confuses me i dont really understand what is he really saying.

I think it art is great, and i like it. This art is a special, it is a good idea . He show it beautiful, and the art is nice. Also i agree it.

i think what Andy Goldsworthy does is amazing. his creations with rocks need's alot of patients and talent. other people may not think putting rocks on top of each other is called talent or art but when you make something out of it like a egg shaped object , thats something different. it may not be a egg shaped object with rocks made out of it but using water as glue to make icicles stick to each other and heat holding it in place thats taking time to make sure the art project is done. half the people in this world wont think of making what andy goldsworthy did or even stay for hours doing something over and over again making sure its finished. i think he is a great artist with elements around him.

My overall thoughts about the film was that it was a very interesting film and i always injoy films about art and that it is good to learn about more types of art. What i like best about the film was the way he made the icicles ice sculpture , i thought it was cool how he warm up icicles and stick them togther.

I really enjoyed that the artist used nothing but the components of nature itself. I really enjoyed the movie and I understood the reason for why exactly he decided to build things out of nature. I enjoyed the video, though I do dislike the fact that the editor of the film did a huge mistake. The editor cut of the wrong side, or the area, that should be seen. It became annoying at times, besides that fact it really interested me, it was really cool.

my commects for the movie was i liked how he made the art work and how he use the lines to show the artwork and use them and found a lot of paintng

As I was watching the documentary during yesturday, i've notice that Andy Goldsworthy has made nature into his art. During the film i was most interested when Andy put couple of rocks togehter and made them into a sculpture, to me the rock sculptures look like they were shaped like eggs.As i was reading the review by Rdger Ebert he seemed impressed by Andy's work even though he didn't see the documentary.In his review he describes about Andy Goldworthy's nature art work.

The movie was very interesting from my perspective. Andy Goldsworthy is truly a magnificent artist. My favorite parts where the icicles, spiral of rocks, and the twigs in a kind of web shape. I like how he doesn't give up just looks a little sad and then he starts again. The spiral of rocks looked very hard to do and it looked like it took long to make but it looked very beautiful. The icicles was a unique art, putting icicle together breaking them and putting them in the place they belong. The great scenery was the twigs traveling in the river. He makes art through nature and that is true art. When his art collapsed or went under water i wasn't happy. But Andy Goldsworthy said "The very thing that brought the thing to be is the thing that will cause its death" . So i have learned from a artist like Goldsworthy that its not only about creating but how and what causes its death.

What I like most about the film was when the stones kept callapsing while he was trying to do a sculpture of a seed. Alot of people would have just lost their patience and given up. But he didn't and he kept on going and made 4 sculptures in different locations. Andy Goldsworthy shows patience and is a hard worker. I also like the way he lined up the yellow leaves in the water in the beginning of the documentary without any type of man made glue.

I enjoyed the movie but my favorite part was when the guy made an ice sculpture. I like that part because I enjoy observing ice sculptures I think it is a cool type of artwork.

This is a good film it show how u can do anything if u spend time on it. The best part is when he try to build something with the stone but fails and he keep trying. I like this because it show u can do anything if u spend time and try your best.

the parts i liked the best was when Roger showed how he made his projects. i think that was pretty interesting , the fact that he works only with nature things is amazing. and he doesn't take them down after he's done but he leaves them there and sometimes they last for a long time he might even come back and they can be there. not everyone has the ability to work with nature that way but Roger does that makes him unique and his own way . this film overall was very interesting.

I think that this film was very interseting . It interested me because he was using materials that he found in nature. He dosn't go to the local store to buy paints , he rather waits untill he gets to the location he is traveling to and then uses what is at hand. I enjoyed the fact that he did this , he is a great artist and the way he presents his work just amazes me.

after reading the review article by Roger Ebert i can agree with everything he is explaining about the film. i do also agree that the movie is like a daydream. it is a film that although has no action or excitement is still surprisingly intriguing. i love that when the artist Andy goldsworths pieces fall to part while he is working he still doesnt give up. he continues to work even if its from the start until he accomplishes and is satisfied with his work. the art work is absoluely divine and perfect in its own way. unlike other art from other artist. i really enjoyed this film and will be seeing it soon again.
